LABORATORY
The laboratory of the plant is equipped with emission and X-ray-fluorescent spectrometers possessing wide
opportunities to control chemical composition of raw materials and alloys.
The basic device is a spectrometer "SPECTROLAB" F (Germany) which allows to determine 22 elements in aluminium alloys beginning
from 0,001 % of the basic components (Si, Fe, Cu, Mn, Mg, Zn, Ni, Cr, Pb, Su, Ti, P, Sb),
from 0,0001 % Ca,
from 0,0002 % Na, Sr,
from 0,0005 % Bi, Cd, V, Zr, As.
The duplicating (spare) device is spectrometer СРМ - 25.
The radiation control of raw materials is carried out on an entrance gate by gauging excess of a level of radiation above a natural background and X-ray-dosimeters.
All alloys are subjected to the obligatory laboratory control on gas saturation by hydrogen. The definition of porosity is carried out by a technique of the standard of Ukraine. This parameter characterizes physical properties of the produced alloys.
The entrance control on determination of a chemical composition of steels, which are used in machine building manufacture, is carried out by X-ray-fluorescent methods.
The laboratory makes physics mechanical testing of metals and alloys.
The laboratory has the certificate of accreditation issued by the
Ministry of industrial policy of Ukraine No. 06544-3-4-121-КМС
according
to the requirements of ISO 9001:2000 on carrying out of analyses of a chemical
composition and the certificate of accreditation No. РЧ-0348/2002
on carrying out
of radiological measurements.
